Yee, Gaymond
Research Coordinator

Gaymond Yee is a Research Coordinator at CIEE where he manages the Demand Response Enabling Technology Development Project for the Energy Commission's PIER Program. Before coming to CIEE he was a contract researcher with the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and conducted an assessment of current trends in energy management systems for the Department of Energy's Federal Energy Management Program. Over the past 12 years, Mr. Yee has held project management positions at several energy sector companies. He was the development manager with Silicon Energy Corporation and participated in successful residential electricity curtailment projects at Puget Sound Energy, Northeast Utilities, and Long Island Power Authority. At Diablo Research, he managed the software development of the Whisper wireless Automatic Meter Reading system. At EnergyLine Systems, he managed the Energy Information Services home automation project funded by Pacific Gas & Electric, Microsoft and TCI. Mr. Yee began his career as a mechanical engineer and spent 13 years working on continuum mechanics numerical simulation analyses. He has a BS in Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering and a Master of Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley.
