Vine, Edward
Research Coordinator

Edward Vine is a Research Coordinator at CIEE where he leads the Environmental Program. Dr. Vine has provided technical and management assistance to CIEE since its inception. He is currently providing technical and project management assistance to the PIER Environmental Area (PIER-EA) Program at the Energy Commission and is the Program Administrator for two PIER-EA grant programs: the Environmental Exploratory Grant Program and the Climate Change Grant Program. Dr. Vine is also a Staff Scientist at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where he has been involved in the evaluation of energy efficiency programs and technology performance measurement for over 25 years. He is widely published in the professional literature on the evaluation of energy efficiency programs and energy policy. He is President of the Board of Directors of the International Energy Program Evaluation Conference and is an Affiliated Faculty Member of the Energy and Resources Group at UC Berkeley. Dr. Vine has a BS in Environmental Studies from Middlebury College, and an MS and Ph.D. in Ecology from UC Davis.
