Kusiak, Michael
Contracts and Grants Team Leader

Michael Kusiak is a Contracts and Grants Team Leader for CIEE.  He has held a variety of different research administrative positions within the University, addressing different aspects of contract and grant management. He has held positions at the Industry University Cooperative Research Program (within UC Office of the President) as well as within UC Berkeley’s Sponsored Projects Office, and most recently at the Helen Wills Neuroscience Institute (UCB). Most of Michael’s experience has been associated with the process of acquiring federal funding for research being performed within the University. As such, he has extensive experience in proposal development as well as with the electronic proposal submission process now utilized by all federal agencies. Michael will serve a similar role here at CIEE, working with our stakeholders to create new energy and environmental research projects. Michael graduated from the University of Richmond with a B.A. in Economics and German. He received an A.M. in European Studies from Washington University in St. Louis, and he is currently a student at Santa Clara University School of Law.
