Hwang, Lorraine
Assistant Research Coordinator

Lorraine Hwang is a CIEE Assistant Research Coordinator in the Transmission Research Program (TRP). Joining CIEE in 2007, she provides project support to the California Public Interest Energy Research (PIER) TPR program team. She has over 20 years experience in technology research in seismology (U.S. Geological Survey and the California Institute of Technology, Network for Earthquake Engineering Simulation) and project management in the software industry. Her combined experience provides a broad experiences and insight into challenges in research management.  Dr. Hwang has a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley in Geophysics and a Ph.D. from the California Institute of Technology in Seismology.
