Cibulka, Lloyd
Research Coordinator

Lloyd Cibulka is a Research Coordinator at CIEE. He has 30 years experience in the electricity industry. He is currently working in the PIER Transmission Research Program, with responsibility for developing and managing public interest research on the application of real-time rating technologies to the electric transmission system. Prior to joining the CIEE, Mr. Cibulka was a consultant to the CEC, assisting in the development of the Transmission Research Program's structure and technological strategies. Previously, Mr. Cibulka worked for Pacific Gas & Electric Co. in the Research & Development Department, where he managed research programs in electric transmission, distribution, automation and integration technologies. Before that he worked in the Transmission Planning Department of PG&E and was responsible for performing dynamic analysis of the high-voltage transmission system (the AC and DC Pacific Intertie). He is a long-time member of the IEEE Power Engineering Society and a Registered Professional Engineer in California. He has a BSEE from Washington University (St. Louis) and an MSEE (Power Option) from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
