The Enabling Technologies Development (ETD) Project is soliciting pre-proposal abstracts leading to the receipt of formal proposals in June 2008.  The selection of proposals for Grant Agreement funding will be made between October and December 2008.

A pre-proposal abstract, submitted by the deadline listed below, is a prerequisite for acceptance of the formal proposal submission.

Grant agreement awards will be limited to $125,000.

The research concepts described in the 2-page abstract must address the research goals presented in the Enabling Technologies For the Distribution Grid Research Opportunity Notices (RON) currently posted on the ETD Project website.

April 2, 2008   - Deadline for pre-proposal abstract submittal.
June 11, 2008 - Completion of screening of pre-proposal abstracts.
June 25, 2008 - Deadline for full proposal submittal.
                        - please include a title page and a budget page in the proposal.

August 6, 2008 - Completion of technical review by the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC).
September 3, 2008 - Completion of review by the Program and Technical Review Board (PTRB).
October 29 - December 24, 2008 - Notice of Energy Commission approval for funding of Grant Agreement(s).
